Nepal Might Relocate Mount Everest Base Camp.

Nepal is considering transferring Everest Base Camp in order to address environmental concerns. According to the country’s Department of Tourism Director-General Taranath Adhikari, Base Camp’s location faces some risk from the melt of the nearby Khumbu glacier. We have received many constructive suggestions from numerous stakeholders to relocate the team's base camp. No final decisions have been made yet; however, we are seriously considering these suggestions. These suggestions include suggestions from the community, mountaineers, and environmental experts. However, we do not anticipate any major decisions made to Mount Everest in the near future. It will take two to three years for researchers to make a decision, as research activities can only be conducted during spring. Some stud...

A Vote That Ought To Frighten Donald Trump.

The results of a new poll by the University of New Hampshire have some worrisome news for Trump: He is no longer the big dog in the state of New Hampshire. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis takes 39% in a poll of the Republican presidential primary in New Hampshire, while Trump is at 37%. No other potential GOP contender manages double-digit support, with former Vice President Mike Pence in third place at 9%. This is a major change from where the race was last fall. A UNH poll in October 2021 showed Trump with 43% to DeSantis' 18%. Another interesting nugget from the poll: Just 6 in 10 self-identified Republicans (62%) want President Trump to run again in 2024. Now, this is just one poll at a secluded location expected to be the first to vote in the 2024 primary season. Depending on polling ...

Zelensky Said It’s A Ukrainian Future To Join The E.U.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday that EU accession is Ukraine's "choice of our future vision." "including but not limited to [the] Warsaw speech of 1999, it is clear that this country is called to unite Europe as one big family. Before we make a decision in the referendum, we should tell the country about our future vision to form a special corridor from Kiev to Berlin," Zelensky told the Jewish University of Jerusalem's Board of Governors during his rare virtual address. Ukraine has chosen a future with the European Union, President Petro Poroshenko said today in Kiev. "We have sacrificed a lot for that," he added. "But most importantly, this is our choice—the choice of our future vision." After the war ends, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine...

Kim Keeps Her Fashion Superhero Appearance Coming.

Kim Kardashian is known for setting the internet ablaze with her fashion choices. But many of the outfits that cause the most controversy are ones that feel more appropriate for a Marvel movie than real life, such as her viral masked moment at the 2021 Met Gala, when she showed up in a black Balenciaga leather trench and bug-eyed shades. This week, Kardashian was spotted in two looks fit for a stylish blockbuster heroine. The first outfit included a black figure-hugging bodysuit, black Knife boots, black cat-eye shades, and a silver diamanté Le Cagole bag (all by her favourite brand, Balenciaga). Later that day, Kim opted for red, white and blue pantaboots, a white cropped T-shirt and black wraparound sunglasses. Again it was all Balenciaga everything. It's clear that the Skims found...

Germany Announces That A Natural Gas Crisis Has Begun As Russia Cuts Its Pipeline Supply Of Natural Gas To Europe.

Germany has declared a natural gas shortage, escalating its crisis plan to preserve supplies ahead of winter as Russia turns off the taps. The country on Thursday activated the second phase of its three-stage gas emergency program, taking it one step closer to rationing supplies to industry—a step that would deliver a huge blow to the manufacturing heart of its economy. ''Gas is from here on out hard to come by in Germany," Economy Minister Robert Habeck told correspondents at a question and answer session in Berlin. "Regardless of whether you feel it yet: We are in a gas emergency."   Europe's energy emergency raised for this present month as Russia further diminished supplies to Germany, Italy and different individuals from the European Union.   Russia's state ga...

Hong Kong Bid Farewell To Jumbo Kingdom, The World’s Largest Floating Restaurant.

At about 7 a.m. on June 14, a dozen tugboats arrived at the Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter's southwest bay to tow away Jumbo Kingdom seafood restaurant in Hong Kong. Locals gathered along the waterfront to give the restaurant its final farewell. Estimating around 260 feet in length, the goliath three-story Jumbo Floating Restaurant was well known for its colossal green and red neon sign perusing "foon ying gwong lam," Chinese for "welcome." In its prime, it was important for the biggest drifting eatery on the planet. For almost 50 years, it was the fundamental boat of Jumbo Kingdom, which likewise incorporated the more seasoned and more modest sister eatery boat Tai Pak (tracing all the way back to 1952), a flatboat for fish tanks, a 130-foot-long kitchen boat and eight little ships to shi...

Taking A Draining Putt At The US Open, A Golf Player Became Annoyed.

Two-time Major tournament winner Justin Thomas has had many happy Saturdays playing golf. The third round at the 2022 US Open is unlikely to rank among the others. The writing was perhaps on the wall before the first over of Justin's day at Edgewood. Thomas' opening drive was called out by mistake, which prompted a bemused reaction from the American. Following a solid start of three consecutive pars, confusion made way for fury at the fourth hole when his tee shot landed in a drain in the center of the fairway. Not afforded a drop, he proceeded to play his ball as it lay, with his errant shot sailing into a bunker well short of the green. Looking down at the drain in disgust before his ball had even landed, Thomas could be heard saying on Sky Sports' broadcast: "That's what pisses me of...

Thousands Of Migrants Have Been Caught Crossing The US-Mexico Border, Amid The Scorching Heat And High Water Levels.

Rapid-action personnel are trained primarily to deal with the worst emigrants who are drowned as they seek to cross the U.S.-Mexico border. The canal, which runs for miles along the international border, is intended to get water to farmers during the summer months. But as migrants try to cross into the United States, the canal also poses a unique danger—high water levels and a fast-moving current push migrants underwater or sweep them away from land. "You get pushed underneath. You get pushed out," said Kris Menendez, captain of the El Paso Fire Department water rescue team. "It could mean life or death." There's been eight fatalities within the past week, according to experts, which serves as a warning sign for the months ahead as migrants continue to venture into the flood. Within ...

Russian Forces, Ukrainian Officials Notice A Rise In Both Withins Hailing From Kharkiv Since No Incidents Of Incursion Have Been Noticed.

The Russian military has stepped up shelling Ukraine's Kharkiv, but ground forces who were supposed to storm the city's fortifications opted not to do so. According to Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration and the Ukrainian president's office, shelling has intensified in the past 24 hours, particularly in northern regions. No deaths have been reported but some people have been injured, Sinegubov added. "On the line of contact in the Kharkiv region, the enemy is mainly focused on defense," said Sinegubov. "Our defenders hold their positions firmly." A CNN team in Kharkiv city heard several explosions Sunday night and Monday morning but noted that there was only a slight increase in the level of activity compared with previous nights.   Some bac...
