Russian Forces, Ukrainian Officials Notice A Rise In Both Withins Hailing From Kharkiv Since No Incidents Of Incursion Have Been Noticed.

The Russian military has stepped up shelling Ukraine's Kharkiv, but ground forces who were supposed to storm the city's fortifications opted not to do so. According to Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration and the Ukrainian president's office, shelling has intensified in the past 24 hours, particularly in northern regions. No deaths have been reported but some people have been injured, Sinegubov added. "On the line of contact in the Kharkiv region, the enemy is mainly focused on defense," said Sinegubov. "Our defenders hold their positions firmly." A CNN team in Kharkiv city heard several explosions Sunday night and Monday morning but noted that there was only a slight increase in the level of activity compared with previous nights.   Some bac...

Amber Valletta Has Worked On Conserving The Oceans Through Conservation.

Amber Valletta has been focusing on environmental impact issues on a global scale for over 20 years, with ocean conservation her primary concern. When Valletta’s son was six months old, she moved to California and began working with non-governmental organizations that focused on environmental sustainability. She joined the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), which works to cut carbon emissions and expand clean energy. Valletta also partnered with Oceana, the nation’s largest international ocean conservation organization, on its Seafood Contamination Campaign. She worked with them to shut down coal mines because of mercury poisoning in fish. Eventually, Valletta’s ongoing commitment to sustainability caught the attention of the Fashion Institute of Technology where she served as Su...

Kim Kardashian Is Developing Skin Care Kits.

Perhaps your midyear inspiration is reflecting that the time has come for a beauty overhaul. Kim Kardashian's new skincare line, SKKN BY KIM, will launch later this month. Kardashian's new undertaking comes only one year after the release of news that KKW Beauty was no more, a change many believed was merely a precursor to a complete rebrand. In KKK Beauty stores, the products available seem unique to Kim's personal brand. As opposed to offering conventional makeup, Kim has sold her high-up brand as (highbrow, cutting edge) skin care. SKKN's line of nine beautifully formulated skin-care products focusses on new formulas that revitalise skin. Housed in architecturally inspired packaging that demands countertop space, each brand's offerings go for under $100 ($80). The Kim Kardashia...

A Female Buddhist Turned One Of Asia’s Most Respected Chefs.

It's a bustling Saturday morning for Jeong Kwan, a South Korean Buddhist priest. After her initial morning reflection practice and breakfast, she keeps an eye on her nursery inside Baekyangsa, a sanctuary at the picturesque Naejangsan National Park, south of Seoul. The air is loaded up with the fragrance of blossoming coriander blossoms. A wild deer snack on the leaves in the nursery. The eggplants and green peppers are developing. The cabbages she established in the colder time of year are stout and fit to be collected. "It is wonderful on the grounds that it has a ton of energy - - it has developed through the virus winter," the priest tells CNN Travel through an interpreter, pulling her palms separated to exhibit the size of the current year's cabbages. THE ACCIDENTAL STAR ...

Pope Francis Wonders If One Way Or The Other The Ukraine Conflict Was Set Off Or Prevented.

Pope Francis has said that it is not necessary to attribute the Donbass conflict to "one or the other" in remarks published by Italian newspaper La Stampa on Tuesday. The Pope reportedly said that what we are seeing in the war in Chechnya is "the brutality and ferocity with which this war is waged by the troops, generally mercenary, used by the Russians." He said that the Russians "prefer to send Chechens, Syrians, mercenaries forward. But the danger is that we only see this, which is monstrous, and we do not see the whole drama that is unfolding behind this war, which was perhaps in some way either provoked or not prevented." Pope Francis spoke inaccurately when he stated, "I'm neither for Putin nor against reducing the distinction between good and bad, without thinking about roots ...

To Check Into A Great Hotel For A Vacation In Italy, Look At Puglia.

Puglia was long overlooked as a tourist destination, known only for its heel-shaped peninsula and small role in the history of Italian unification. In recent years, however, it has become an increasingly popular vacation spot for Italophiles who seek to explore the country beyond its popular coastal regions of Tuscany and Amalfi.   It’s not difficult to see why. The relatively flat landscape features some of the most gorgeous towns in Italy – from the bleached walls of Ostuni to the quaint domed roofs of Alberobello’s traditional trulli – most of which are packed with knotty medieval streets, gleaming white Baroque churches and bustling markets. Around its lengthy coastlines you’ll find some of Italy’s most pristine beaches, from soft white sand to rocky plunge pools with crysta...

French Parliamentary Elections Were Eclipsed By Low Turnout.

On the evening of Macron's re-election, his party's centrist alliance, Ensemble, has an increased risk of losing its majority in parliament of just weeks. Polling suggested German Chancellor Angela Merkel's centre-right alliance Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Free Democratic Party (FDP) with the leftist coalition New Ecological and Social People's Union (NUPES) neck and neck. According to results announced Sunday evening, Ensemble has won 25.37 percent (5.1 million votes), while the pan-left NUPES led by Jean-Luc Mélenchon have gained 24.31 percent (4.9 million votes). A second round of voting is scheduled for June 19. If after that Ensemble falls short of the 289 threshold for an absolute majority—which major pollsters are projecting as a possibility—Macron will become the first ...

Tesla Shares Are About To Get Much Cheaper.

The price of Tesla shares is about to decrease by three times. The company recently announced that it approved a 3-for-1 stock split. The shelved split would need to get reviewed and cleared by shareholders in the company's annual meeting in August. Tesla (TSLA) shut Friday at somewhat more than $696 per share. In the event that the split were to happen today, its shares would be valued at $232 an offer.   You can definitely relax, Tesla investors (which is essentially everybody with a retirement account, nowadays) - - your stakes will in any case merit something very similar. You'll hold multiple times more offers no matter what.   Organizations split their stocks for various reasons: Splits can put their stock inside the scope of more modest, individual financ...
